Training Recap, Assessing Community Health Needs, Part 1: Frameworks & Methods
The Healthy Nonprofit Network recently hosted a two-part training series in collaboration with the Emory Prevention Research Center on Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs).
Part 1 was a step-by-step “how-to” training, Assessing Community Health Needs: Frameworks & Methods, led by Dr. Cam Escoffery, Associate Director, Emory Prevention Research Center, Rollins School of Public Health.
Participants learned how to identify community assets and priority health needs, access and interpret reliable local and regional health data, and apply practical assessment tools to support program planning, partnerships, and grant development.
We’re pleased to share the training materials so you can explore these concepts and adapt them to your own community health assessment efforts.
Tools for Conducting Community Health Needs Assessments
Every community is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to gathering information and understanding local needs. The tools shared during this webinar offer a step by step process and frameworks to help organizations conduct thorough, community-informed assessments and identify priorities for action.
